Uttar Pradesh has rapidly transformed into one of India’s most attractive destinations for investment, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Speaking at the Samsung Innovation Campus certificate distribution event in Gorakhpur, CM Yogi emphasized the state’s growing prominence in mobile phone manufacturing, highlighting that Uttar Pradesh now holds 55% of the country’s mobile production.
UP’s Role in India’s Mobile Manufacturing Boom
At the event held at Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, CM Yogi noted that Uttar Pradesh is not just a key player in mobile manufacturing but also contributes 60% of the mobile components produced in India. “The potential and opportunities in Uttar Pradesh are why Samsung shifted the world’s first mobile display plant from China to India, and specifically to UP,” said the Chief Minister.
This shift has helped the state become a magnet for investors, transforming it into a key contributor to India’s economic development. Yogi highlighted that UP is now a crucial part of the country’s investment landscape, further strengthened by good governance and a pro-business environment.
Motivating Students to Work Hard for Success
During the event, Yogi Adityanath urged students to work diligently and push their limits. “Instead of working for six hours, try working for 12 to 14 hours a day. Hard work doesn’t weaken you; it helps you grow and learn,” Yogi advised, giving the students a mantra for success. The Samsung Innovation Campus has been instrumental in offering students courses in advanced technology, including coding, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The certificate distribution event marked the successful completion of these courses, with CM Yogi personally handing certificates to the students. The initiative is part of Samsung’s flagship CSR program aimed at enhancing technical skills among Indian youth, helping them build successful careers in the tech industry.
