If you often face difficulty managing your family members’ Aadhaar details, the mAadhaar app can simplify things for you. With this app, you can digitally access and manage Aadhaar information for your entire family in one place. Instead of collecting Aadhaar cards from each family member every time, you can simply link their profiles to your mAadhaar app. Here’s a guide on how to link Aadhaar profiles for yourself and your family members.

    What is mAadhaar App?

The mAadhaar app is an official mobile application launched by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). This app helps users store and manage Aadhaar-related details digitally. It provides services such as downloading e-Aadhaar, updating your Aadhaar profile, and even locking or unlocking biometric data.

One of the standout features of mAadhaar is its ability to manage multiple Aadhaar profiles. This makes it very convenient for families, allowing you to link up to five Aadhaar profiles within a single app.

Benefits of Using the mAadhaar App

    • Offline Access: Once linked, you can access Aadhaar details even without an internet connection.
    • Multiple Profiles: You can manage Aadhaar profiles for up to five family members in one app.
    • Digital Records: No need to carry physical Aadhaar cards; access everything digitally through the app.
    • Profile Updates: You can easily request updates for Aadhaar details, such as address changes. However, service charges may apply.
    • Aadhaar PVC Card: You can place an order for a PVC Aadhaar card via the app by paying a small fee.
    • Appointment Booking: The app also allows you to book appointments for Aadhaar-related services like creating or updating your Aadhaar card.

How to Link Family Members’ Aadhaar with mAadhaar App?

To get started, you’ll need to ensure that each family member’s Aadhaar is linked to an active mobile number. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Download and Install the mAadhaar App

    • Go to Google Play Store (for Android users) or App Store (for iPhone users) and search for “mAadhaar”.
    • Download and install the app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Register Your Aadhaar Profile

    • Open the mAadhaar app after installation.
    • On the home screen, tap on Register My Aadhaar.
    • Create a 4-digit password that will be required for future logins.
    • Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha code provided on the screen.
    • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP to verify your Aadhaar profile.
    • Once verified, your Aadhaar profile will be linked to the app.

Step 3: Add Family Members’ Aadhaar Profiles

Now that your Aadhaar is linked, you can start adding family members:

    • In the app, tap on the Add Profile option. Depending on your app version, this may be located under a different tab.
    • Enter your family member’s Aadhaar number and the captcha code.
    • An OTP will be sent to the family member’s registered mobile number. Verify this OTP.
    • After verification, their Aadhaar profile will be added to your app.
    • Repeat the process for other family members as needed.

    Important Points to Remember

    • Registered Mobile Number: To add a family member’s Aadhaar, their Aadhaar card must be linked to an active mobile number. If it’s not, you’ll need to update it first.
    • Maximum Profiles: You can link up to five Aadhaar profiles in one mAadhaar app.
    • Offline Accessibility: After linking Aadhaar profiles, you can access them even when you’re not connected to the internet.

Other Features of the mAadhaar App

Apart from managing multiple Aadhaar profiles, the app also offers several other useful features:

    • Download e-Aadhaar: You can download an electronic copy of Aadhaar for yourself and family members.
    • Biometric Lock/Unlock: The app allows you to lock or unlock biometric data for added security.
    • Update Profile Details: If any details such as the address need updating, you can request it through the app, although some charges may apply.
    • PVC Aadhaar Card: You can order a PVC Aadhaar card, which is a compact and durable version of the Aadhaar card, right from the app.

    Why Use the mAadhaar App?

The mAadhaar app is a great tool to keep track of your family’s Aadhaar information without the hassle of managing physical documents. With just a few taps, you can access your own Aadhaar and the Aadhaar profiles of your family members, making it especially useful in situations like verification processes or updates. It also eliminates the need to carry Aadhaar cards around, ensuring that you always have access to these important details.

By following the steps mentioned above, linking Aadhaar profiles to the mAadhaar app is simple and effective. You can now manage your entire family’s Aadhaar details from the convenience of your smartphone.
