    Eligibility Criteria

    If you want to become an Oriental General Insurance Agent, you need at least a 12th-grade education or its equivalent from a recognized board and you must live in a place with a population of 5,000 or more. Furthermore, you will also need to complete 100 years of training in general insurance from an approved institution. If you are applying for a license for both life and general insurance, the training requirement is 150 hours. After finishing the training, you must pass a pre-recruitment exam conducted by the Insurance Institute of India in Mumbai.
